Computer's Gk - Know More & Quick View

Ctrl+5:1.5 line spacing. These shortcuts will not work from the numeric keypad.
Ctrl+2: Double line spacing 
Ctrl+1: Single line spacing 
Line spacing is the amount of space between the lines of text in a paragraph. Click Indent and Spacing  table in Paragraph dialog box and click on the drop down menu for Line Spacing. Select any Line Spacing option.
To cancel a search, press Escape key.
The shortcut key for Replace is CTRL + H.
The shortcut key for Find is CTRL + F.
When the document is saved, the file name appears on the Title bar.
To save your document, press Ctrl + S key combination.
To view the dotted line page break, click on Normal View button.
To Insert Page Break, select Page Break option in Break dialog box.

Header and footer are not displayed in Normal View. To view them on the screen click on Print Preview or Print Layout view
In MS-Word, the file is saved with an extension .doc.
To insert a line between the columns, click on the Line between Check box.
To create columns of different widths, specify width in the spin boxes. It will be activated only if you clear the Equal Column width check box.
Click on, 'Equal Column width' check box to define columns of equal width
You can also Insert columns by clicking on Format > Columns command and selecting the desired option like Two from 'Presets' section. Click on drop down arrow in Apply To text box and select 'Whole document' and click on OK.

Working with Windows - Quick view

MS DOS was the most popular operating system chosen for IBM PC. IBM'S version of DOS was called IBM - DOS or PC - DOS.
Press Shift + Del, to delete files / folders permanently. 
To copy multiple files and folders, press and hold down the Ctrl key and click on the files to be copied. The files will be selected. Now you can copy them.
To rename a file/folder, right - click on it and select Rename option from the shortcut menu. Type the new name and press the Enter key.
To select a consecutive group of files, click on the first file. Hold down the Shift key and click on the last file.

Lets's know about commonly used icons:
My Computer                                                                                                                                                                                           Gives you a view of available drives and their contents stored on the computer system. Double-clicking on a drive icon will display the folders contained in that drive.
Application IconsThese are the graphical images that give a quick access to the related application.
Shortcut IconsA Shortcut is an icon containing a direct route to a specific application, document or folder etc. It has a small jump arrow in its lower left corner.
Document IconThe active document window of an application can be minimized to a document icon which gets placed on the taskbar. You can restore the document window by clicking the Document icon.
My Network PlacesAllows you to access the shared files or devices on different computers in a Network environment.
Recycle BinIt works like a trash bin (dustbin) used for throwing the unwanted papers. These papers can be taken out, if needed. Recycle Bin is a folder that holds the deleted objects. Until it is emptied, we can take back the deleted files and restore them to their original location.
